David Ben Shabat is an independent Philosopher of Language and a dedicated inter-disciplinary scholar, who focuses on the evolution and social-theological implications of the Hebrew language cosmology.

 

He is the founding director of the Dead Sea Research Institute (below the famous cliff of Masada) dedicated for applied research of life in extreme conditions. Within the institute, David is leading the "Center for Regional Thinking" which promotes the geo-political concept a unified region (Israel-Jordan-Palestine). 

 

David is a leading entrepreneur and social activist who has promoted the notion of Eretz Shem (the Semitic Land) since 1992. In this framework David owns and is the CEO of Shemrivers Ltd. and Mountain Winds Ltd. which was founded to shape and materialize the body of this wished-for Joint Identity, by initiating joint Arab-Hebrew economic ventures in the fields of Organic Viticulture and Renewable Energy in Mount Hevron Region.

 

In his early years, David tailored the economic concept of the known American executive aircraft Cirrus . He was the head of steering committee for regional telecommunication (Bezeq), founding manager of an eco-village in South Mount Hebron (Har Amasa), a mediator between Bedouins and Palestinians confronting the Israeli system, and more.
