Dr. Eiichi Fukuyama
Dr. Eiichi Fukuyama is the director of Earthquake and Tsunami Resaech Division at the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED) in Tsukuba, Japan. He is also the director of the NIED Research Project entitled "Large Earthquake Source Mechanics".
His research interests cover earthquake rupture dynamics including numerical modelling of earthquake rupture propagation along complicated fault system, investigation of stress field around the earthquake focal area, experimental approach for the investigation of constitutive relation of earthquake rupture, and near-fault waveform modelling of earthquake rupture.
