Prof. Noam Mizrahi
Prof. Noam Mizrahi is the Acting Chair of the Department of Biblical Studies at Tel Aviv University. His studies seek to illuminate the interconnection between textual criticism, historical linguistics, and the redactional history of biblical and post-biblical literature, with special attention to the Dead Sea Scrolls.
His most recent book, Witnessing a Prophetic Text in the Making (Berlin: de Gruyter, 2017), explores the textual, linguistic, and literary development of a key prophetic unit in the Book of Jeremiah. He is currently working on a new book which presents a new edition and commentary of one of the most important scrolls found in Qumran, Pesher Habakkuk, which represents a special form of sectarian commentary of biblical prophecy.
