Dr. Zeev Ma’or

Dr. Zeev Ma’or is the Chief Technology Officer for Ahava-Dead Sea Laboratories, Inc. He received his PhD in biochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he completed his thesis on the subject of skin aging. He received his MSc in biotechnology from the same institution. Since 2013 he has been the project initiator and coordinator of SuperFlex FP7 NMP European Research Project, focused on mini factory concept for the production of personalized skin-care products for the elderly.

He also initiated the SkinTreat FP7 NMP European Research Project, and has served as its coordinator since 2008. He is a director on the board of the National Nano Functional Material Project and also a researcher of the Dead Sea Research Center. Ma’or’s research interests include skin aging and photo-aging, the biological effects of minerals (particularly Dead Sea mud water and salts), personalized cosmetics, and responsive skin care. He is a published researcher and patent-holder in the areas of skin care, composition, and protection.
